I've been a bit busy of late, so PALS has taken a bit of a back-seat. And with all the Xmas related things happening over the next couple of weeks, it probably still will for a while. I am planning to have it finished and published before Xmas though!
For now, I've posted some of my graduation pics on Facebook (from my ceremony last week), but for those who don't have it/ use it, I've out a few on our photos website, under the Aberdeen section.
Anyway, on that note I'm off to buy some Xmas decorations and supplies for a tasty Xmas dinner later in the week!

More photos, some newsletter work
Have finally had a productive afternoon! I've managed to finish off putting Issue 24 of PALS together, thanks to receiving the final article from one of my pals for it. It's a long one about teaching English in Korea, but I think it's interesting.
I've also written a short piece about some of the places Dan and I have visited in Scotland over the past few years, and in relation to that, uploaded some more new photos to the Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire sections of our Photos webpage.
Finally, I've added some additional tags to previous posts which mention new photos I've uploaded. Hopefully that will make it easier to find posts on a specific theme if that's what you're looking for. I know it will for me!
I guess that doesn't sound like much overall, but it all took a while! PALS Issue 24 will get uploaded before the end of the month, probably next weekend.

More photos
Not much news this week, but I have had a bit of time to update a few things. I've made an effort with writing the next issue of PALS, and it's nearly ready for release at the end of the month - just another article or two to add now.
I've also added a few more photos from our visit to Drum Castle last weekend - they are on the Aberdeenshire and Aberdeen sections of our Photos Website. Hope you enjoy them! I also managed to write up a few short pieces for future newsletters - one on Drum Castle, and a couple on older visits to places in England and around.
Let's about it for now; guess I should be concentrating on studying for the next week or so really!

Issue 23 on-line and website updates
Firstly, I apologise for being totally rubbish. I can't believe it's been over a month since I even looked at this blog. My only excuse is placement and uni; but they have taken up a lot of my time!
I have done a lot this evening though. First off, Issue 23 is now on-line and ready to view. It's not a special this month, so there's a wide range of articles. I have to admit that I've been pretty lax even with the newsletter, and it wasn't until this evening that half of it got written. I really wanted to make sure it was released on time though - I've managed it for the past 4 years, so I don't want to fail now!
I have also added a few photos - not many, but a couple to the British Landmarks and Aberdeen photos sections. Most of them were taken at a friends wedding a couple of weeks ago in Kent, so have gone into the British Landmarks section. The one you can see here is of Bodiam Castle - it didn't make it on to the Photos page, but it's nice enough!
Lastly, I've even managed to update my Avatar! The last one was a little out-of-date... but the Avatar should also be a fair clue that I'm unlikely to post to this blog again for a few weeks; I have four essays to write and hand in by 12th May (16 days away, not that I'm counting). Really I expect I should be working on them tonight, but my "excuse" is I want to get all the fun stuff out the way before I concentrate on them! As of tomorrow, you may not see/ hear from me for a while...

Prolific worker
I've had a slightly more productive week PALS-wise; probably due to the fact that I haven't had to worry about writing essays or keeping on top of lecture notes for a change. All that is about to change this week when it's back to uni, but I've been enjoying the rest while I can.
Dan and I managed to get out and do a coastal walk around Aberdeen this weekend - how nice it was to have two full days off in a row! Working Sundays can be tough sometimes. The walk did end with us being quite frustrated that once on the coastal path, it's near impossible to get off it - and a 7 mile walk on a day where the sun goes down at 4.30pm is not the best idea! But it was very pretty - the picture I've added to this post is also on our Photos Website, in the Aberdeen section.
And that's not the only thing I've updated in the past few days. There are now a range of new poems on my poetry site, if you fancy reading them.
I've also been working hard on Issue 22 of PALS. At the moment it could be about one of two things - it depends upon how quickly people send me articles on their "Week in the Life Of...". People have said they're happy to write something, which is great, but I haven't had any pieces yet. I'm not too worried as one of my pals has written a wonderful piece on her diving holiday in Egypt which she's happy for me to use - it'll either feature as the Issue 22 or Issue 24 Special. Whatever doesn't appear in the Mar/Apr edition will be in the Jul/Aug one.
I hope you enjoy all the updates - and if you'd like to write a piece about a week in your life I'd love to see it. I doubt I'll be able to be this prolific with updating the website again now until late May, but the short break was nice.

Working Photos
I've managed to get the photos uploaded, although it did mean deleting an older section. They had been on there for ages though so I wasn't too bothered about removing them! The great thing about having the website split into sections is that it's really easy to just remove an obvious section without having to think too hard about what would be best to remove and what you should leave.
Anyway, have a look at the Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire sections of our Photos Webpage for new pics from last weekend. And now I really have to go as I need to go and meet Dan!

Quick Update
After looking at our photos web page, I realised we had a lot of Aberdeen photos, so decided to split the Aberdeen and Scotland sections up - have a look at the Aberdeen photos (which have been updated with a few extra ones). I've also changed the Photos Home Page slightly, as it seemed that pics of Aberdeen and Scotland were now quite a bit more relevant than those of London and our garden in Acton! And I even got around to updating my avatar after 2 weeks...
