Beer in Oxford

I spent most of today in the Town Hall in Oxford, drinking beer with 4 friends. It's because we went to the Oxford Beer Festival 2006 - a place where you can try loads of different ales. Although I probably wouldn't have chosen to go alone, a lot of my friends are real ale drinkers and it sounded fun!

It was nice and relaxing - we basically spent 4 hours sat around drinking and chatting, whilst tasting each other's beers. Needless to say, I was much slower at drinking mine than others! I've written a short piece about the festival for a future newsletter, but there's not too much to say when all you did was, ummm, drink!

I now need to go and write up some more of the newsletter due out at the end of the month - I was going to leave it until tomorrow as it's quite late, but I've had a sudden spurt of energy and I don't want to go to bed! I also need to avoid thinking about weddings so this is a nice alternative.

Yes, but we were too nusy actually drinking the beer in Oxford to take any photos of it! Although a pic of all those barrels may well have looked quite cool...
